How many times Can a screen go through this before it’s no good?

Hi I am trying to use the speedball photo emulsion kit but struggling with results. After exposing the screen it takes a very long time to wash away the stencil, eventually other parts of the screen are washing away whilst parts of the stencil are still not washing away. Very confused by what this means I am doing wrong? Tried another screen applying more photo emulsion but it dried gloopy, tried another screen with less photo emulsion and yielded same results. Using a Caydo 50W LED UV Screen Printing Light for 8-12 minutes positioned at the same distance from the frame as the width of the frame. Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you.

So disappointed with this kit and I cannot get a response from Speedball or Pigskins & Pigtails about it. Makes me think twice about using these products and I was so excited to. Luckily there are other options. 😢

Thanks for excellent calligraph instructions. I have copperplates and type from my great grandfather’s 19th century print shop. Plan to bring the 19th century into my artwork.

How long to burn with 50 watt black light

With my iron, heat set properly, it takes 30 sec. to transfer a perfect laser printer image! It is amazingly fast! It use wool setting on my iron.

MY problem is making sure the ink doesn't dry while doing all this and that it doesn't spill over when I lift the screen

What are the advantages of the Speedball and/or Akua Intaglio Inks vs. acrylic paints on the Gelliplate?

It’s a great video, but you can’t really see what you’re doing some of the time just saying I mean because I’ve done it before I know, but it would be helpful to actually see the screen itself like from the top maybe

So will transparencies print on any inkjet printer? Should I consider asking the manufacturer if it is possible? My printer doesn’t say whether I can print transparencies with it.

The screen in the kit is 10x14, this is a tutorial of how to use the kit. How long do you expose it on this screen with this lamp and from what distance? That is an important detail you left out. Please answer @speedball_art Overall, this is a bad tutorial video, it is missing so much information and its essentially useless. It would be great if you can make an actual tutorial and not half ass it.

Thanks for this! The gel/PVA medium transfer didnt work for me. I found great reults with your method, and I printed onto "release paper" with laser printer. Was very quick for me but I might have had the temp too high.

Wiling off the excess emultion reminds me oof how i apply makup. Put it oon lightly thrn wipe most of it off. Perfect!
